About the Role:

IBM Consulting is looking for an Application Developer – Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join their Software Engineering team in Bangalore. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for professionals who are passionate about designing scalable digital solutions using AEM and front-end technologies. You will be part of IBM’s Client Innovation Centers—centers focused on technical excellence, collaboration, and delivering cutting-edge projects across industries.

As an AEM Developer, you’ll be involved in designing and implementing scalable, robust content management solutions using AEM 6.5.x and AEM Cloud Service. Your work will directly support global digital transformations, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scalable and available systems using AEM
• Work independently to design, develop, and deliver AEM-based solutions
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed designs
• Implement web frontends using AEM templates
• Apply headless architecture using GraphQL with frameworks like React or Angular
• Collaborate with technical teams to solve problems and deliver high-quality outcomes

Key Technical Skills:

Requirements:

Education:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• Preferred: Master’s Degree

Technical & Professional Requirements:

• Strong experience developing content management systems with AEM (On-Prem and Cloud)
• Deep understanding of AEM Core Technologies (OSGI, Sling, Granite, JCR)
• Proven ability to independently develop and implement AEM solutions
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React or Angular) and headless approaches
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Clean coding practices and understanding of software design patterns
